In-camera 5-axis digital stabilisation reduces unintentional camera movements, while Dual Pixel CMOS AF focuses smoothly and continuously to keep your subject sharp. Pull-focus from one object to another with a tap of the EOS 6D Mark II?s touchscreen.

Connected camera technology for new ways of working

The EOS 6D Mark II can maintain a constant Bluetooth? link with your smartphone or tablet. This makes activating Wi-Fi easy, so you can browse and share images, and shoot remotely using your device?s screen. The EOS 6D Mark II?s built-in GPS geotags images as you shoot.

The full-frame advantage

While many of our EOS cameras have APS-C sensors, measuring 22.2 x 14.8 mm, the EOS 6D Mark II features a full-frame sensor that is the same size as 35mm film, that?s approx. 36 x 24 mm. This gives photographers all kinds of advantages. The first is image quality: full-frame cameras deliver increased clarity and dynamic range and gather more detail from a scene, especially in low-light situations where they offer higher ISO settings.

Secondly, the depth of field from a full-frame EOS is more shallow than that offered by APS-C based cameras. This makes it easier to create out-of-focus backgrounds that really make a pin-sharp subject stand out ??a great approach to portraiture.

Lastly, full-frame sensors offer a wider angle of view, for any given lens, than APS-C type cameras. This makes cameras like the EOS 6D Mark II very popular with landscape photographers, who use them in combination with lenses like the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM to include lots of foreground detail and create dramatic perspectives.
