Description

The Canon EOS R5 C is a professional video-first hybrid solution, combining the worlds of Cinema EOS and EOS R into one. It sits below the EOS C70 in the Cinema range, and alongside the EOS R5. It is also the perfect companion to the RF 5.2mm F2.8L Dual Fisheye lens.

8K cinematic full-frame video

Capture cinematic 8K video up to 30fps (or 60fps with an external power supply), as well as oversampled 4K and Full HD. The EOS R5 C also produces captivating 4K slow-motion content up to 120fps.

Incredible 45-megapixel stills at up to 20fps

A 45 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor captures incredible clarity, low noise and wide dynamic range with burst speeds of up to 20fps, and ISO sensitivity as high as 51,200 ISO. Automatic Exposure Bracketing delivers consistent exposure options while an Interval Timer opens the door to creative timelapse.

Extensive lens choice

Featuring Canon’s revolutionary RF Mount Technology, the EOS R5 C is compatible with RF lenses offering cutting-edge AF and stabilisation, as well as EF Photo and Cinema Lenses via the EF-EOS R Mount Adapters. Anamorphic lens support is provided for 2x, 1.8x and 1.3x de-squeeze options. Advanced 5-axis Electronic IS seamlessly works alongside or independently to the optical IS found in lenses to achieve stable and smooth footage.

Fast, accurate, reliable focusing

The EOS R5 C features Canon’s ground-breaking Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology with Eye AF and EOS iTR AF X for precise and reliable face/head/eye tracking, even when the subject turns away from the camera. Canon’s innovative Dual Pixel Focus Guide provides an accurate visual aid to achieve pin-sharp footage when manual focusing.

Extensive professional recording formats and tools

Choose from a variety of internal recording formats including three Cinema RAW Light options (LT / ST / HQ), XF-AVC, MP4 and even RAW output via HDMI. Capture incredible dynamic range with Canon Log 3, PQ and HLG recording, while utilising professional tools such as Waveform Monitor and False Colour.

A compact, lightweight design with active cooling

The EOS R5 C is a superbly compact and lightweight Cinema EOS camera. It features a high-resolution OLED viewfinder, bright articulating 3.2-inch LCD monitor, and 13 user-assignable buttons. A new active cooling system enables long-duration recording, while its magnesium alloy body ensures professional durability.

A wealth of connectivity

With Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® and the Multi-Function Accessory Shoe, plus dedicated terminals for timecode, 3.5mm mic, headphones, micro-HDMI, flash sync and USB-C, the EOS R5 C is ready for anything. It also offers an extensive range of photo and video software application support such as image.canon, Content Transfer Mobile, Browser Remote and much more.

8K internal RAW recording

The EOS R5 C can capture stunning 8K DCI RAW video at 30P (up to 60P with external power supply) internally to a CFexpress card, using the whole width of its full-frame sensor for a truly cinematic look. Focus tracking is also available, for footage that looks slick and professional. 8K RAW provides the highest level of image quality and flexibility: capture four times as much resolution as 4K and change parameters such as white balance after footage has been shot, using Canon Cinema RAW Development software or your favourite non-linear editing application.

4K 120p HFR recording

Alongside its 8K capabilities, the EOS R5 C captures 4K DCI (full-frame) and 4K UHD at frame rates up to 120fps with audio and autofocus, with 4:2:2/10-bit quality, enabling smooth slow-motion with stunning high resolution. The EOS R5 C also oversamples the full-frame sensor for exceptional 4K and Full HD clarity with increased sharpness, colour fidelity, and low noise.

Internal Cooling supporting long-form recording

The EOS R5 C features internal cooling thanks to a brand-new design that allows heat build-up to be dissipated and expelled via a built-in fan and exhaust at the rear. This clever engineering enables long duration 8K recording in Canon’s smallest and nimblest Cinema EOS camera.
